Australian Radio Communications Industry Association (ARCIA)

The Australian Radio Communications Industry Association Inc. (ARCIA) is the national voice of the radiocommunications industry in Australia. Over recent years, ARCIA has developed a highly visible presence on behalf of its members and professional users and actively works to promote the vital role that the radiocommunications industry plays in Australia’s way of life.

With a growing membership, ARCIA is seeking to develop specific programs in education and training, as well as promote the benefits of industry accreditation. These important programs focus on industry-wide accreditation, increased skills training, networking and recognition, and coordinated representation addressing spectrum requirements to facilitate benefits for both the Australian radiocommunications industry and professional users.

Recognised by the ACMA as the ‘peak industry body’ for the land mobile radio sector, ARCIA has also now commissioned research to define the economic value of the industry and the spectrum it utilises. ARCIA’s next project is to investigate how the industry can fund training options for radiocommunications technicians and ensure the long-term viability of our industry.
