John Yaldwyn is CTO of New Zealand-based 4RF and a director of 4RF Australia. He has been involved in the design and manufacture of digital radio for more than 30 years. His particular focus is the application and security of narrowband radio to utilities, critical infrastructure and public safety. John is a member of the Victoria University Engineering Advisory Board, the Association of Public Safety Communications Officials, and the New Zealand Search and Rescue Council’s Consultative Committee. A graduate of Victoria University of Wellington, John has a Bachelor of Science degree and has done postgraduate study in France at École Nationale Supérieure des Télécommunications.
