Luke Brown is a senior policy advisor in Emergency Management Australia responsible for disaster mitigation strategy. He has extensive experience in disaster resilience and recovery policy has worked closely with industry to deliver projects of national significance. He is currently closely involved in the work between Australian governments to progress a national public safety mobile broadband capability. Mr Brown also has experience at the international level managing EMAs global outreach and implementation of Australia’s commitments under the Sendai Framework for Disaster Risk Reduction. Mr Brown is legally trained and oversaw the Commonwealth’s legal involvement in the 2011 Queensland Floods Commission of Inquiry and the 2009 Victorian Bushfires Royal Commission.
