Firefighting services around the world are constantly looking to be innovative in their approach to managing the multiple aspects of their response capabilities. One such innovation that has taken shape over the past few years is the use of remotely piloted aircraft systems, often called drones, and land based robotic tools.
This session, led by two leaders in this space, will outline how Fire & Rescue New South Wales researched, planned and operationalised the use of these exciting new capabilities. They will also explain how the data from these devices are being live streamed, currently leveraging commercial networks but in the future leveraging public safety mobile broadband, to provide enhanced situational awareness for their operations.
