This panel session will bring together members who will discuss public safety mobile broadband and the way ahead in Australia. While this single issue has been at the forefront of conversations for a number of years many experts, including those on our panel, believe that it is now critical to broaden the conversation to include the need for a national strategy that covers public safety mobile broadband, next generation triple zero and their combined impact on emergency services communications centres, that outlines the way forward.
Panel members and delegates will discuss, in a facilitated session, various options and points of view on what such a strategy might entail. This discussion will be invaluable to agencies as they move into the phase of preparing the operational guidelines and the inter-relationships between agencies and jurisdictions for this critical communications development.
