Public safety communications around the world are undergoing a transition from our traditional approaches, which have been based on private radio networks, towards the new mobile broadband environment. We are in a unique period and the future of our public safety communications systems are going to be defined by the choices that we make and the impact of those choices on both the community and our agencies. This presentation explores the emerging public safety communications ecosystems and the critical building blocks that need to be considered when defining this new environment.
